These phrases are being often abused by Western politicians and media.
They are being used to justify military action on my country - YUGOSLAVIA.
See what's behind those words...

NATO officials say that Chinese Embassy was isolated incident...
So thay said about Aleksinac, Tornik, train at Surdulica, refugee convoy,
Prishtina, bus at Luzane and Savine Vode, Surdulica, Nis, center of Belgrade,
Cacak, ...
HUMAN SHIELDS

Lately, we can hear a lot about Serbs using ethnic Albanians as human
shields to protect military installations in Kosovo. Could this really
be true? Go back and remember what Nato used as an excuse for hitting a
refugee convoy near Prizren. The pilot confused tractors for army vehicles.
If a pilot can’t make a difference between two vehicles, could anyone believe
he could distinguish a Serbian soldier from ethnicAlbanian? Would Serbian
forces waste their time placing human shields at places that would be targeted
anyway? I don’t think so!

I would also add that West media often use this phrase when they don't
have refugees crossing border. Then they are HUMAN SHIELDS, but if they
are let out of Kosovo then we are accused for ETHNIC CLEANSING.

Serbs were on constant oppression by Albanians on Kosovo, they were
killed during and after WW2 down there
Serbs were accused for ethnic cleansing in Croatia, yet there are no
Serb left there
Serbs were accused for ethnic cleansing in Bosnia, where all sides
we doing the same thing, and only Serbs were punished.
And irony is when mentioned ethnic cleansing everybody say SERBS...
There is now an ethnically pure Greater Croatia. There are almost 900,000
Serbian refugees ethnically cleansed from Croatia and the (Bosnian) federation
- 300,000 in Republika Srpska, and 600,000 in Serbia.
This is more than any other ethnic group. Croatia conducted the largest
single ethnic cleansing of the war with American military support.
US Ambassador to Zagreb has said on CHANNEL 4 NEWS in an interview
that it wasn't a case of 'ethnic cleansing' since
"...only Serbs are doing that. They've left Krajina on their own free
will". (NO COMMENT)

The history of Kosovo since World War II is MAINLY the history of a
fascistic group (which evolved into the KLA,with Western help) oppressing
Serbs, which was widely reported in the press before the media campaign
against the Serbs was launched.
Here is a quote from the NY Times in 1987 - note they are talking about
terror directed against the SERBS:
"Slavic Orthodox churches have been attacked, and flags have been torn
down. Wells have been poisoned and crops burned.
Slavic boys have been knifed, and some young ethnic Albanians have
been told by their elders to rape Serbian girls....
"The goal of the radical nationalists among them, one said in an interview,
is an ''ethnic Albania that includes western Macedonia , southern Montenegro,
part of southern Serbia, Kosovo and Albania itself.'' That includes large
chunks of the republics that make up the southern half of Yugoslavia.
Other ethnic Albanian separatists admit to a vision of a greater Albania
governed from Pristina in southern Yugoslavia rather than Tirana, the capital
of neighboring Albania. "

REFUGEES
During summer 1995, 300.000 Serb left Croatia, when Croatian army attacked
them.
They created 400 km long line moving toward Serbia. They were shoot
at by guns and cannons... they packed whole their life in just one bag
and left in hurry..
Nobody helped them, nobody cared about them, nobody listened to their
stories...although UN was obligated to protect them..
That's 3-6 times bigger number of refugees then now in Kosovo (Sky
news said are about 50.000 - x Albanian refugees).
I'm not saying that there are no refugees on Kosovo. There are refuges...
but both Albanian and Serbian
But this is all to blame on bombing, NATO tries to avoid it by planting
to us. There were no refugees (in this number) before bombing started.
That is the problem...NATO angered the Serbs and encouraged KLA, and that
intensified conflict
Imagine this situation
You are person caught in war. There are serbian police and military
fighting against KLA (paramilitary organization), KLA members trying to
recruit you for their cause, NATO bombing everything that moves down there.
What do you do:
a) try to stay loyal to Serbia (KLA will kill you)
b) join KLA (police will kill you)
c) hide in shelters, if any (you risk to get hit by NATO bombers, killed
or recruted by KLA)
d) run away to nearest country and wait for things to calm down
e) __________
Do you get my point?

CRISES
Ask yourselves, was Humanitarian Crises bigger now or before NATO's
action ,as they say "as Good Samaritanian", started?
There are a lot of refugees on both sides, there are a lot of peolpe
in shelters, houses destroyed, factories destroyed, ...
If it's all about Humanitarian crises, why are now this refugees without
roof, food, medicines, ....
West media showed just one tented city for only 3000 refugees, Great
Britain sent 500.000 meals. OK it's a huge number.. hmm half milion ...
but if you divide this number by 3 (3 meals per day) and then when you
divide it with number of refugees you come to number that this is only
going to last for 2 days. Big help...
I think West did not prepared themselves for solving Humanitarian crises
but for something else...
Think how much money West spent on bombs, airplanes, cruise missales,
....

OF BALKAN

We Serb are called "Butchers of Balkans". The one who said that probably
does not know this:
Serbs were over 500 years under Ottoman's empire. You can read what
they did to us in our novel which won NOBEL Prize for literature. It's
called "Bridge over Drina" by Ivo Andric.
In WW1 Serbia lost 1/3 of their population as ally nation.
In WW2 Yugoslavia lost 1.700.000 people , and 700.000 Serbs, Gypsies
and Jews were killed in just one Croatian camp "JASENOVAC" !!!. The way
they died was disturbing even for the German in that time.
Yet another irony... people who have suffered so much in their history,
now are being called "Butchers of Balkans"

... THEY
ARE JUST DOING THEIR JOBS
Well , whose JOB is to go destroying other people's country, their
citizens, their cultural and economic goods. This can not justify their
actions. Their JOB is to defend their countries when attacked, not this.
They are quilty as much as theirs leaders.
If you go by this "logic" German soldiers were just doing their
jobs... My brother and I are also Polish by our mother's side, great
part of our polish people died because of theirs "just doing jobs"
There is one true story from WW2 when one German soldiers refused to
shoot down some innocent civilians. His commander shoot him dead all along
with this people ... he refused to do this dirty job ... Serbian people
will never forget this soldier
